Mark Gallacher

Mark GMark is a highly experience, recently retired Police Officer.  He served with Strathclyde Police and latterly Police Scotland for 28 years prior to retiring in July 2022.

During his service, Mark reached the rank of Inspector and led a number of operationally demanding, critical incidents.  He was Head of Probationer Training at the Scottish Police College, where he had responsibility for the training and development of all new recruits.  He spent the final two years of his service leading the Cybercrime Harm Prevention Team for Police Scotland, leading them to the Outstanding Cyber Team Award in November 2021.

Mark has recently returned to Police Scotland in the capacity of Cybercrime Protection, Incident Support and Training Officer.  He is a Chartered Manager and holds Membership of the City and Guilds Institute.

As a father, Mark is keen to support and protect the most vulnerable members of our communities from online harm.
